Ashihara
Toyoashihara no Mizuho no Kuni (豐葦原の瑞穗の國, Lit. "the land where abundant rice shoots ripen beautifully" ), or colloquially simply Ashihara, is a large island country exposed to intense weather and harbours four seasons, with a climate that ranges from subarctic in her northwesternmost regions and subtropical in her southeast.
Ashihara is divided into seven distinct regions and 124 prefectures. Although the territory that the Northern peoples, known as the Nagikari, control is considered one region by the centralised government. As of today, it is unknown whether the northern reaches have been further divided by its inhabitants.

The name Toyoashihara no Mizuho no Kuni is a learned name from the Kami of all lands, O-kuni-tsukuri, who bestowed this knowledge to early humans on the island as a term of reverence and endearment. O-kuni-tsukuri allegedly taught the early humans of Ashihara about both the dangers and natural order of the lands, as well as how to nurture them.
In the teachings of Onmyodo and communally accepted natural philosophy, Ashihara is known as the domain of Ji, or the Earthen Realm. It shares its existence with two other known realms: O-una-bara, the domain of Sui, or the Realm of the Seas and Takamagahara, the domain of Kaze, or the Heavenly Realm. Onmyoji and natural philosophers are still conducting investigations on the existence of domains on the three moons, though seas have been confirmed to exist on Toyotama, the brightest of the moons.
It is currently unclear whether the outer realm, Tokoyo, where the stars dwell, is a realm in itself or the absence of one.
