Isshin Renritsu Kubun is an R21+ soft sci-fi and historical fantasy Discord-based roleplay group that draws inspiration from Japanese history, existential philosophy, and Shinto literature. IRK is set in a fictional world in the midst of an industrial revolution, where belief has begun to decline.
IRK aims to employ a long-form narrative and is largely player-driven, with mod-prompting serving as a tool for players to mainly self-guide their RPs. Players are encouraged to take quest prompts and RP their own mini-stories, with seasonal story events that offer more first-hand lore, and a deeper dive into the world of Ashihara.
Players have the freedom to do almost anything they want, but inversely, anything can happen to them.
